​An annual well woman exam consists of a general evaluation of your health, including a clinical breast & pelvic exam. This may also include a PAP smear and evaluation of any problem issues such as pelvic pain or abnormal discharge. You would also update the doctor of any recent changes in your health & any new medications you may be taking. This could also be a time to discuss contraception options, or conversely, initiate preconception counseling in preparation for childbearing.
