STD Testing & CounselingSexually transmitted diseases (STD), also referred to as venereal diseases (VD), are infections with transmission through sexual behavior, including vaginal intercourse, oral sex, and anal sex. Some STDs can also be transmitted via the use of IV drug needles, as well as through childbirth and breastfeeding. STD testing can be performed at the office by a simple blood draw and vaginal swab. Some of the more common infections that can be tested for include HIV, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, Syphilis, Human Papillomavirus (HPV), Gonorrhea, Chlamydia, Trichomoniasis, and Herpes. |
