PostpartumThe postpartum period consists of the six weeks after delivery. A woman's body is still considered to be in a "pregnant state" throughout this time with certain risks present. This includes pre-eclampsia, postpartum depression, and infections such as endometritis or mastitis. Most new moms are seen in the office for a six week postpartum check-up. Although, this may occur earlier depending on the circumstances of your labor & delivery. Rest assured no matter the length of time, the office is always available to answer any questions or concerns and to add support in any way possible. |
